Welcome to the Historic Rosemont Inn Bed & Breakfast

Our home was built in 1859 by the Sayre family and has continued to welcome fastidious and distinguished guests to Montrose in the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania for more than 160 years. It is posited that the inn also sheltered many on the Northeast Underground Railroad.

In 2001, the Wert family purchased the inn and began renovations, which included connecting the Carriage House to the Main House with a library, while maintaining the original beauty and integrity of the inn. Hand-hewn beams were exposed and adorn many of the rooms in the Carriage House section, while the Main House features original, intricately inlaid cherry and oak floors, a spiral staircase, and fireplaces.

Today the inn’s lodging accommodations consist of twelve beautifully decorated guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Our location provides unique and enticing views of the rural landscape, and we are only one block from downtown shopping and dining, festivals, and beautiful Lake Avenue.

We look forward to your stay at the inn and hope to see you return many times as new friends and family.
